Website Privacy Policy
This website privacy policy explains what the Peepers Eye Care site collects, what it doesn’t, and how we use the information you send us.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy covers the Peepers Eye Care website (peeperseyecarethevillages.com). How we use and protect your health information as a patient of our practice is explained in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. For a plain-language overview of your health privacy rights, see the HHS guide for consumers.
What This Website Privacy Policy Covers: What We Collect
You can read every page of this website without telling us who you are. We have no user accounts, logins or newsletter sign-ups. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us, for example by requesting an appointment or asking a question.
The company that hosts the website may automatically record basic technical details whenever someone requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page and the time. We use these server logs to keep the website working and secure. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
Appointment and Question Forms
Our “Request an Appointment” and “Ask a Question” forms come from Cognito Forms, an online form service, and open only when you click them. Cognito sends what you enter (such as your name, phone number, email address and preferred appointment time) to our office, so we can contact you and schedule your visit. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Please keep form messages short and do not include detailed medical history, insurance ID numbers or Social Security numbers. We will gather what we need when we call you back or at your visit.
Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and we serve our fonts and images from our own website.
If you use the accessibility options (the round button in the bottom-right corner), your own browser keeps your choices, such as bigger text or higher contrast, so they stay on from page to page. They are never sent to us or anyone else, and “Reset All” clears them.
Other Companies’ Services
Some links and features use services run by other companies. Their privacy policies apply when you use them:
- Cognito Forms runs our appointment request and question forms.
- Google Maps opens when you click the map or a directions link. The map on our pages is a picture, so Google is not contacted until you click it.
- Facebook and YouTube open when you click our social media links.
Phone, Email and Social Media
If you call us at (352) 259-1621 or email [email protected], we use what you tell us to answer you. Regular email and social media messages are not secure, so please do not send prescriptions, medical details or insurance numbers that way. Call our office instead.
Security
This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Once you become a patient, your health information is protected as described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent or guardian should request appointments for children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
